What is FIRST?
FIRST is teams of kids building sophisticated robots for exciting cooper-tition!
FIRST was founded in 1992, by Dean Kamen and MiT’s Woodie Flowers.
FIRST Students learn:
STEM skills: programming, mechanical design, and electronics - STEM career interest!
Team skills: teamwork, communication, project management, finance, and school pride!
Life skills: inclusion, self confidence, ethics, and “gracious professionalism”!
